This is a Shimming system that offers 3 different sizes shims from 2 different types of foam. An all in one easy to use kit, complete with own pocketed pad, which the shims fit snuggly in. The shims then can be placed under various parts of the saddle and can be added or removed as required to temporarily combat changes in the balance and fit.

FOAM TYPE: Much thought was put in as to which would be the best foam to use, I found that different foam was needed for different problems, so I chose an open-cell polyurethane foam and a visco-elastic polymer foam or better known as Memory foam. Together each foam has their own quality and purpose and can be used together or on their own.

White foam: Is the memory foam which is used for cushioning any concussion, so to encourage back muscles to build up.

Black foam: Is to help fill any gaps and to support space left from muscle wastage.

HOW THE SHIMMING SYSTEM WORKS:

Basically you can combine the various shims for the effect you require.

• If the saddle is too wide and tilts down at the front, inserting the front shims either comfort or filling depending on your horses shape.
• If the saddle perches back wards and sits up in front, insert the rear filling shims so to help level out.
• When purchase a new saddle and or you bring your horse back in from a spell, using the full length Comfort shim to offer cushioning while muscle become accustomed to the work  or to adjust to a new saddle which may have fairly hard panels at first.
• On older horses or weekend only trail riding horses where they muscles may be wasted or not built up and have old saddles with flat compress panels, by using the full length filler shim can offer a better fit  to the saddle as well as protecting the  back.
• For uneven back muscles which will cause the saddle to tip to one side or another, can be tricky to balance out, either because the horse suffers from high/low heel, giving him uneven shoulders, or has built up back muscle on one side not the other.
• If your horse has hollow pockets on either side of his withers caused by atrophied muscles, by using the filler foam to fill these gaps and allow the saddle to fit more comfortably, and allow redevelopment.

 Have attached a few pics of Poet with your saddle pad on. The one taken in the dark is him saddled up before we headed out on our first 40 km Endurance Training Ride. The second one is when we have about 200 meters to the finish. His back felt great after the ride and he was given an 'A' by the vet for his girth, withers and back!

  Have had great feedback! I have had several people use the pads with just the memory foam as they have sensitive horses. A client of mine always rides in a memory foam saddle blanket but when she goes to shows she can't use her usual saddle blanket as it isn't the right type for showing- she now loves her Correctional System because she can now show and her horse behaves really well.

   Another client has a very hot horse and although she makes every effort to make sure her saddle is fitted and has regular massages for her horse, she found that with the Correctional System using just the cushioning, her horse is performing much better.

   I have had a few people buy them for young horses that are rapidly changing shape.

   I also teach a RDA rider who has to sit trot due to her condition and the Correction System (with the confort pads) has helped her horse be softer as it seems to absorb the 'bouce' when she does loose balance. She has also been trying a lot of different saddles to buy and it has really been great because she can adjust the saddle to fit.
