The Association was established in 2004 to bring all
Equine Body Workers in Australia into line with all those working internationally.
Our therapists have undergone extensive training, including many hours of study covering anatomy & physiology of the horse, massage techniques, safe working practices, streching and exercisology and alternative therapies.
All members follow a code of conduct set up by the Asscoiation, stating principles and guidelines to encourage professional ethics. So to provide
Australia wide, a regulating body under which noteable qualified therapist can practice, the association provides imdemnity insurance for they members and offer quality support in educational programs, professional guidelines, community awareness and scientific reserach. In addition the IEBWA encourages equine body workers to donate their services for non-profit therapy riding programs.
